WELCOME.
Thanks for taking the time.
This is a WIP for a proposal.
Here is some material for you to browse:

The video (#1) to the right shows the concept for the first piece in the exhibition. Immediately to the left as you enter the space and suspended from the ceiling, is this found object; a pane of safety glass taken from a telephone box in Bethnal Green, marked by layers of paint, dirt, paste and paper.
Projected upon it are words, poems or exclamations that set the tone for the exhibition, invocating the city’s unconscious and tuning into open channels. The light refracted through the glass covers the floor and is reminiscent of the movement of cells under a microscope. This is a work in progress specifically for this proposal. It is an invitation into the space beyond.

Beyond, there is a similarly suspended rectangle at the back-centre of the space. On it there are projected hallucinations, dreams, feelings. Either side of this projection are a bench raised on a small mound and opposite, a black fibre optic street cabinet, open.

Between the fragments of film on the floating rectangle, the viewer’s attention is drawn to a figure, or a lack there of, seemingly inhabiting the space. This entity sounds like they are there, and the light and shadows suggest so, but there is no physical embodiment.

4 channel surround sound will immerse the viewer and emphasise the movement of the entity within the space.

The precise locations of objects and the layout of the set are ambiguous at this stage.

We are led through an assemblage of scenes, moments and moods, oscillating between violent irruptions of emotional charge and quieter moments of reflection.
